TREK® Matterhorn Ultraks

The TREK® Matterhorn Ultraks was founded in 2013 and takes place in the unique mountain region around Zermatt. The charming mountain village is a magical attraction with international appeal and probably the most famous mountain in the world – the Matterhorn.

For this reason, the event was well received. The Trail Running Community appreciates spending a weekend in Zermatt with Swissness, beautiful mountains, the best gastronomy and while completing an incomparable Trail Running Challenge.

The idea is to offer the runners exceptional race routes with different distances and varying degrees of difficulty, in order to appeal to all runners, regardless of their personal abilities or their level of training.

The TREK® Matterhorn Ultraks embodies an experience that is exceptional not only for the runners, but also for those accompanying them and spectators. The finish line for all distances is in the middle of the village at the ‘Ultraks Plaza’. Thanks to the impressive network of Zermatt Bergbahnen, spectators can cheer on their favourites along the route without any problems.
